Microsoft Donation Programme Update Launch

From 27 July 2011, the new update of Microsoft Donation Programme: 

  • Allow unlimited donation requests (orders) per 2-year donation period (up to the maximum allotment)
  • No order minimums
  • Increase allotment of 6 titles to 10 title groups
    • May request up to 50 licenses per title group for desktop and license-only products (e.g. 20 Office Professional Plus Chinese + 30 Office Professional Plus English)
    •  May request up to 5 server products total, regardless of product or title group (e.g. 5 Windows Server products or 2 Windows Server products and 3 Exchange Server products)
    • May request new product, Get Genuine (GG) full Windows operating system (OS) products (Win 7 Professional, 32 and 64-bit versions) one time over

  • By June 2011, 380 Hong Kong NGOs have registered in the TechDonation Program.
  • The total value of about 19,000 ICT products donated through this program has now reached: HK$62 millions.
  • Start from Oct 2010, the Macau NGOs that are approved by Social Welfare Bureau, Education and Youth Affairs Bureau or Labour Affairs Bureau can register TechDonation.
