Small Business Server User CAL Suite (Includes Software Assurance)

The Small Business Server user client access license (CAL) suite is a set of user CALs for Small Business Server. It includes one standard user CAL and one premium add-on user CAL.

The standard CAL permits one user (using any device) to access the services and technologies of Small Business Server. This CAL can also be used to access additional servers running Windows Server or Exchange Server.

The premium add-on CAL permits one user to access all the services and technologies of Small Business Server 2011 Premium Add-on. This CAL can also be used in place of a premium user CAL for Small Business Server 2008 Premium Edition.

User CALs are most effective when an employee uses several devices to access the server, such as a work computer and a home computer. Device CALs are also available. With device CALs, any user can access the server on the licensed device.
