  • Costs can be tracked using either bottom-up or top-down budgeting.

With Project Standard 2007 project management software, managers can stay informed and control project work, schedules, and finances; keep project teams aligned; and be more productive through powerful reporting, guided planning, and flexible tools.

Among the additions to the 2007 version are report templates; Visual Reports, for producing charts and diagrams in both Excel and Visio; the Cost resource type; and the Task Driver pane, which shows prerequisites and constraints for a selected task;

Project Standard cannot be connected to Project Server 2007 and integrated into the Microsoft Enterprise Project Management (EPM) solution. Organizations that need these capabilities must use Project Professional 2007.
