Description: 
This external connector (EC) license allows any number of external users or devices to access a single installation of Live Communications Server 2005.

Generally, an external user is defined as anyone who is not an employee of the organisation. For example, external users can include clients, suppliers, and alumni of the organisation. External users do not include independent contractors, agents, service providers, or other persons providing services to or on behalf of the organisation holding the license.

The EC license may not be used as a means of reselling or repackaging Live Communications Server 2005 as a hosted service.

Device CALs and User CALs are also available for internal use. A device CAL authorizes one computer to access the server, regardless of the number of users. A user CAL authorizes one user to access the server on any number of devices.
