Description: 
InfoPath 2007 is an information-gathering programme using electronic forms deployed through email. It combines the familiar Microsoft Office system environment with a set of tools that enable organisations to build forms solutions that validate data, integrate into information systems, and guide users through form completion. It can help greatly reduce repetitious and inefficient data entry while improving collaboration and decision-making.

When InfoPath forms are deployed through InfoPath Forms Services (available through Forms Server 2007 and SharePoint Server 2007 Enterprise Edition), their reach is extended to Web browsers and mobile devices. The browser-based forms do not require either a local installation of InfoPath or download of any other software. InfoPath Forms Services–based forms are network-friendly and minimize the time-consuming roundtrips usually necessary for data validation and calculations.

The InfoPath design environment is fully hostable within Visual Studio 2005, enabling developers to build forms and Web applications in the same integrated development environment.
